Gran Turismo is het synoniem voor auto porno voor raceliefhebbers. Deze Sony franchise gaat al een flink aantal jaren mee, en eind dit jaar zullen we dan eindelijk aan de slag gaan met de nieuwe telg in de reeks.
Met Sport maakt Gran Turismo dan eindelijk zijn debuut op de Playstation 4. De game werd eind vorig jaar al aangekondigd, maar pas sinds het aankondigings event in Londen, dat ergens afgelopen week plaatsvond, kregen we dan eindelijk de info waar wij op zaten te wachten.
Zo liet opperhoofd Kazunori Yamauchi bijvoorbeeld weten dat de game weersomstandigheden en schade zal kennen, welke helaas nog niet getoond werden tijdens het evenement. Daarnaast liet Yamauchi weten dat men zich bij ontwikkelaar Polyphony richt op 1080p en 60FPS, maar dat er op dit moment nog wel wat framerate issues spelen, waar ze nog volop mee bezig zijn.
Tevens deed de beste man nog de overige uitspraken:
- GT Sport won’t support the PS3 racing wheel, as new hardware is required for PS4 compatibility.
- At the moment TVR cars aren’t going to be included in the game, as Polyphony couldn’t find out who has the rights to the cars, since the company was recently sold.
- According to Kazunori Yamauchi it’s difficult to answer whether this is the best Gran Turismo that it could ever be, since different people enjoy different things, but this is the happiest he has been about a game of the series since the first Gran Turismo.
- Yamauchi-san would love to have Porsche cars in the game, and Polyphony is ready and willing to include them whenever Porsche sees fit.
- The game will have damage, even if to Yamauchi-san himself it’s not as important as the driving itself.
- The inclusion of more FIA licensed racing cars is a possibility for the future.
- No DLC are currently confirmed, but it’s possible, and Yamauchi-san would like to see them in both free and paid form.
- As far as Kazunori Yamauchi is concerned, GT Sport could have been called Gran Turismo 7, due to the depth of features it includes. The revival of some classic Gran Turismo tracks is a possibility.
- Yamauchi-san has been asked about a lot a new Tourist Trophy game or any kind of appearance for motorbikes in Polyphony’s games, and that’s not outside the realm of possibility, but at the moment he can’t say, because the studio is focusing on GT SPort.
Verwacht meer dan 130 voertuigen in Gran Turismo Sport, welke zowel online als offline te spelen zullen zijn. De game zal op 16 november van dit jaar gaan verschijnen. Tot slot hebben we nog een paar kekke filmpjes voor je klaar staan!
